Charu joined Oorja as Partnerships Manager and will be responsible for forging strategic partnerships with relevant industry stakeholders, scaling Oorja’s innovations horizontally. She holds an MSc in Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship from the London School of Economics and has worked on a host of climate-action projects ranging from food circularity, regenerative agriculture, renewable energy, greywater recycling, and circular packaging solutions. Her core competencies encompass qualitative and quantitative research, partnership strategy, systems thinking, and strategic sourcing. Charu also holds a Master's in Fashion Management from the National Institute of Fashion Technology and a BA (Hons) in Economics from Gargi College, Delhi University. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she finds joy in photography, yoga, and solo travel. With a deep-seated commitment, Charu is dedicated to scaling climate solutions and promoting sustainable livelihoods for India's rural population, fostering a path towards just and equitable growth.
